Here is my response to the first thread at our facebook group (link on the left hand nav.) you might need to be a member to read it. If you are interested in reading it, chances are you would also like to be a part of our group.
Just some quick Monday morning house keeping.
1. The scotia1991.com blog; since i have to create a new account then email out user name and password, etc. I want want to restate, if you are interested in being a infrequent writer to this blog, please step forward. I have set up accounts for, Cheryl, Rob, and will for Kate if i haven’t’ already.
2. Location. I see us wasting a lot of time deciding on where to have it. If you are, this was important for the 10th but not the 20th. Anyone interested, even remotely interested in attending won’t care where its held and im guessing would just assume that it be held in the Scotia area. (side note: I wrote this paragraph then read Kates, post, oddly similar :).
I know of two 20th year reunions that have been held at the Riverstone and think its a great idea. My sister had hers and had nothing but good things to say; of what she remembers.
C. Time of Year: Unlike the 10th, we can’t try to see when it works best for everyone’s calendar, we have to pick a time and go with it. Since it’s not a picnic, fall seems perfect. A more aggressive date would be Thanksgiving weekend. This is when my sisters was and it was packed… again back to the if you have a big event, things, and more importantly traditions will be moved around.
4. Money: Dan, I remember that conversation, i say you run with it. I don’t see anyone objecting, even out fearless President :). We have to track down Tiffany and see where we left off; just a good starting point. At minim if you could be the cash man, that would be excellent.
5. Addresses / Personal Information. Kate, i would love to team up with you again. I can bring all the old data we have from the 10th, i have it somewhere, and find a way to best collect everyone’s info. We could organize another Address Drive only this time concentrating on privacy. I think i had everyone’s info public last time around.
I will also cross post this on the blog.
Speaking of the blog, I will work to have the template (look and feel) break out who is posting the entry. Now it doesn’t state author.
